Why should I join the American Chamber of Commerce in South China?

In addition to the many services and benefits the Chamber provides to members, involvement in the American Chamber of Commerce offers access to a network of informed business leaders who are working in south China, and acts as a source of current information. Participation in the Chamber also offers you and your company the opportunity to contribute to the local community through participation in committees, activities and events.

Who can join the American Chamber of Commerce in South China?

Membership is open to all foreign companies operating in Guangdong with an interest in trade and business between China, the United States and the Asia Pacific Region. United States citizens residing in Guangdong as well as foreign companies not yet currently operating in Guangdong, but with a business interest in south China, are also eligible to join. How can I join?

Complete a membership application, available from the AmCham office, and return it along with all necessary documents and payment to the AmCham Office. The office will then forward your application to the Membership Committee for approval. You will be notified within four weeks and, if approved, you will then receive your membership card, membership certificate, and current directory.

Can I join as many committees as I want?

Yes, we encourage all new members to become involved in as many committees as they have an interest in. Check the box of each committee you would like to become involved with on your application form and your name and contact information will be added to the committee's roster. Each month you will be notified of committee activities. We also encourage members, new members included, to start new committees if there is not one for your specific area of interest.
